Data Engineer (Business Intelligence, Marketing Team)

How we’d like you to be:

• Strong proficiency in advanced SQL (capable of executing complex SQL queries);
• Have experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab/Bitbucket;
• Experience with any programming language and application development environments;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
• Experience writing complex data transformation code with business logic;
• Continuous improvements mindset in implementations, development standards and other work practices;
• Quality focused, attention to details;
• Critical thinking, ability to think out of the box;
• Knowledge sharing skills, helping, and guiding team members;
• Good communication skills both written and oral (Romanian & English);
• Eager to improve oneself;
• 2+ years of proven experience in the role of an Data Engineer/SQL Developer;

Will be a plus:

• Good knowledge of programming languages like Python;
• Experience working with any of Tableau/Qlik Sense visualization tools
• Experience with query engines (Impala, Dremio);
• Experience with orchestration tools like: Apache Airflow;
• Good understanding with some of Hadoop ecosystem components: Spark, Hive, Impala, Cloudera, HDFS

What you’ll have to do:

• Build and maintain business domain related datasets;
• Design, code and document effective technical solutions;
• Develop reports and dashboards using Tableau/Qlik Sense;
• Monitor data quality and current processes performance;
• Work closely with business analysts/product owner (sometimes with internal customers) to define and document requirements for data and reporting needs.
