Contract manager

Requirements

• A degree in Civil Engineering;
• Experience in public contract works:
  • civil engineering works
  • transport infrastructure ( railway, subway, tram )
• Ability to understand project financials and impact of contract/claim management on project’s profitability;
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations;
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team;
• Strong organizational skills and ability to handle a fluctuating workload and multiple priorities;
• Proficiency in the English language
• Advanced knowledge of work with MS Office, MS project/Primavera
• Experience with contracts under HG 1/2018 is an advantage.

Main responsibilities

• Monitors works toward contract obligations, including support to monitoring of project schedule towards achieving contractual milestones;
• Ensures timely issuance of contractual notices;
• Develops and produces any project specific processes and ways of working for contract/claim management;
• Monitors, records, and notifies customer/partners and any third party regarding claims/counterclaims and prepares and manages all elements and supporting documentation for claims/counterclaims negotiations;
• Monitors customer/partner requests for variations / change orders / extensions of time;
• Reports on contract management and claims activities to the project, Legal, and Contract Management teams;
• Anticipates events and risks associated with the contract management activities; propose alternative proactive solutions to keep the situation under control;
• Works closely with the Project Managers, Key Supplier Contract Managers, and Project Planning Managers, to identify and mitigate risks; and to identify, maximize, and leverage claim opportunities;
• Provides at any time, on management demand, a reliable and understandable contractual and commercial analysis of the project;
