The role of the Accountant is to ensure, through the specific activities, the compliance with local tax regulations, as well as support the internal controls within COFCO, relevant for the Accounting & Tax areas.

- Prepares specific reports related to receivables/payables assigned as per above;
- Ensures compliance with applicable rules and standards related to payables and receivables (review/validation of trade-related invoices) – specific focus on AR and AP;
- Performs compliance with applicable rules and standards related to accounts payable-Non-Trade Procurement – with specific focus on booking and performing financial control over SGA, industrial cost invoices (silo expenses, variable and fixed), as well as fixed assets invoices (investments in progress, equipment, buildings, etc.);Ensures the booking of the daily bank statements (interface for: payments and collections, as well as booking the manual transactions: bank fees, interests, foreign currency exchange, etc.);
- Ensures the booking of the travel and petty cash expenses.
- Book general admin costs (invoices, accruals, expenses in advance, payroll, etc.);
- Provide accurate financial analysis and reports to management for decision making
- Conduct advances analysis, identifying areas of cost optimization, identifying trends and opportunities for efficiency
- Analyzes synthetically and in details impact of revenues, costs, performance indicators in P&L, BS, ensuring complete data reconciliation and explanations for the deviation from target or different periods.
- Proposes improvements to the reporting methodology to better align with the strategic objectives and requirements of the group
- Monitor and optimize accounting processes and internal controls
- Responsible for the preparation of the trial balance and monthly management reports (BS, P&L)
- Prepares monthly analytical review/reconciliation of designated accounts, including reconciliation between balance sheets and detailed ledgers.
- Ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
- Management of fixed assets (acquisitions, invoices, recording assets in FA ledger, depreciation, write-offs, etc.);
- Issue reports on Capex execution progress
- Performs other specific activities related to month-end/budget process, as well as supporting the rest of the team to deliver accurate and on-time reporting (external, Group vis BPC system)
- Supports on Intrastat, D390, Withholding Tax and Statistical/NBR reports
