Familiarity with the Romanian solar, wind, and battery energy market
Knowledge of Romanian building and environmental regulations
Skills
Excellent project management capabilities (planning, organization, monitoring, reporting)
Knowledge of building and environmental regulations in Romania
Ability to lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Construction Manager to join our team and oversee the construction of wind and solar energy (including storage) projects in Romania. This is a key position responsible for the full project lifecycle—from obtaining administrative authorizations through to commissioning.
Based in Bucharest, this role involves regular site visits and travel in Romania, with occasional trips to Moldova.
Key Responsibilities
Project Development & Technical Support
Provide technical expertise during project development and financing phases
Support pre-design activities including provisional layouts, manufacturability assessments, and identification of local partners
Supervise pre-construction technical studies (hydrological, geotechnical, pull-out tests, etc.)
Manage grid connection procedures in coordination with the Group's Grid Connection Manager
Design & Procurement
Lead technical design and technology selection to optimize technical and economic performance
Manage internal studies and coordinate with external consulting firms
Analyze and ensure compliance with local building and environmental regulations
Prepare tender specifications, manage procurement processes, and negotiate contracts for services, supplies, and works
Construction Management
Coordinate and supervise on-site construction activities
Manage subcontractors and lead site meetings
Conduct QHSE inspections alongside the Group's QHSE Manager
Supervise works supervisors or delegated project managers as required
Manage construction contracts, including dispute resolution and acceptance procedures
Oversee construction planning and scheduling
Commissioning & Handover
Manage administrative procedures related to construction and commissioning
Supervise project commissioning, reserve removal, and performance testing
Coordinate project handover to the Group's O&M department
Maintain comprehensive project documentation
