Qualification

Master in Business Administrator and Engineering (MBE) or
Master in Engineering or Certified Engineer with an apprenticeship background

Professional experience and skills

Has worked in purchasing and has achieved remarkable results in terms of savings
Is experienced in managing suppliers for his/her material groups and according to a commodity group structure
Is used to work in an international team, within and for projects with people from R&D, Quality, Industrial Engineering, Product Management, Supply Chain Management, etc.
Has already led successful purchasing projects to optimize pricing and logistics – internally and at the supplier on-site
Is experienced in calculation methods
Has a sound background and is experienced in:
Contract negotiations (quality/supply agreements) and has finalized them under his/her main lead or at least main participation
International jurisdiction
RFQ and price negotiations – knows the principles and effective methods for it
Has knowledge about the principles of strategic purchasing and also experiences in this field
Has a profound methodical professionalism and good English Skills (linguistic and in writing)

Ensure the company result and production, global sourcing under consideration of local aspects

Ensure on time project-related sourcing:

- Award business to suppliers considering the purchasing objectives
- Contract negotiations
- Elaborate and identify the most cost-effective solution in terms of TCO considering and ensure
the implementation of the solution
- Guarantee on time processing of RFQs and provide high quality data incl. prices considering
target costing
- Provoke a hard competition which ensures comparable quotes

Ensure supplier management in series production:

- Ensure secured business by covering risks in contracts (Supply, Quality, Logistic Agreements, etc.)
- Covering all Business aspects (Logistics, Q, R&D, T&C) in form of written contracts
- Identify cost saving measures considering TCO and ensure their implementation
- Conduct the annual supplier evaluation as well as implement and develop measures
- Organize and conduct supplier meetings and involve affected functions
- Ensure a high quality of purchasing master data in SAP
- Develop and maintain a positive business relationship to suppliers and stakeholders

Ensure an ongoing development of strategies:

- Obtain and maintain an overview of the assigned material group supply market by conducting
market researches
- Develop measures based on current trends of the supply market (risks and chances)
- Develop and maintain an overview of the whole field of responsibilities (all suppliers, business
volumes, measures, etc.)
- Develop (1x year) and maintain a material group dossier / strategy for all assigned material groups
in collaboration with the respective material group team
- Conclude Innovation / Roadmap Workshops with Suppliers

Ensure target achievement:

- Plan, control, monitor and report the material group results
- Ensure material cost reductions
- Design effective advanced negotiation concepts (game theory) and conduct annual price
negotiations

General:

- Serve internal customers / stakeholders as service provider
- Take care to have up-to-date knowledge in the working field
