Accounting, Reporting & Compliance
• Lead and oversee the end-to-end accounting function, ensuring full compliance with statutory accounting regulations, tax legislation, and Group reporting standards.
• Decide on and validate the appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions, ensuring consistency between statutory accounting, tax requirements, and Group reporting principles.
• Coordinate and supervise the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial data.
• Prepare and review statutory financial statements and act as the key owner of financial reporting accuracy at company level.
• Ensure alignment between local statutory reporting and Group reporting requirements, acting as the primary liaison with Group Finance on reporting-related topics.
Tax & Fiscal Governance
• Oversee all tax-related activities, including corporate income tax, VAT, payroll taxes, and other local taxes, ensuring correct calculation, timely payment, and submission of all tax returns.
• Act as the main point of contact for tax authorities, external tax advisors, and auditors on all tax and fiscal matters.
• Ensure appropriate documentation and compliance for transfer pricing and related-party transactions, in close collaboration with Group Finance and external consultants.
Operational Accounting Oversight
• Ensure accurate accounting of suppliers, inventories, production costs, and fixed assets, maintaining robust internal controls and reconciliation processes.
• Oversee customer accounting and credit management activities, including review of customer balances and coordination of credit limit policies together with the AR Team Leader.
• Coordinate treasury activities, cash flow monitoring, and banking relationships, ensuring liquidity and financial discipline.
• Ensure the effective use, stability, and continuous improvement of financial systems, with a strong focus on SAP and related reporting tools.
Budgeting & Business Support
• Together with the Country Finance Director and Controlling Department, actively contribute to the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Support business leaders with reliable financial data, insights, and guidance to ensure compliance and informed decision-making across departments.
People Management & Leadership
• Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting organization, with direct line management responsibility for the Deputy Chief Accountant and functional coordination of the AR Team Leader.
• Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations across the accounting teams, ensuring effective delegation and accountability.
• Conduct performance evaluations, identify development needs, and ensure continuous professional growth of team members through coaching and training.
Audit, Controls & Governance
• Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, tax consultants, and valuators, ensuring efficient audits and timely resolution of findings.
• Ensure robust internal controls within the accounting and tax areas, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures.
Quality Management System & ISO 9001
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 requirements within the accounting function and proper application of Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.
• Monitor QMS performance at departmental level and report relevant information to the Management Representative, in line with applicable procedures.
• Coordinate the implementation of quality management principles within the area of responsibility and actively contribute to defining and achieving quality objectives.
