Chief Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• CECCAR membership (mandatory).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in accounting and financial reporting, including team coordination.
• Solid knowledge of Romanian accounting legislation and fiscal regulations.
• Strong experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and audit coordination.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Excellent communication and analytical skills, ability to work cross-functionally.
• Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Proficiency in English – both written and spoken.

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial and accounting documents and reports.
• Supervise and coordinate the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, as well as ad-hoc reports requested by the Finance Director.
• Guarantee compliance with accounting principles, fiscal legislation, and internal procedures.
• Oversee general accounting, fixed assets, inventory, payables/receivables, treasury, revenues, expenses, and cost accounting.
• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring proper reconciliations and adjustments.
• Supervise the implementation and improvement of financial reporting systems and internal controls.
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and fiscal authorities within delegated responsibilities.
• Actively contribute to the configuration and proper implementation of the company’s ERP (SAP) system.
• Ensure accurate reconciliation of accounting data during system migrations and financial consolidations.
• Monitor cash flow, fixed assets, and working capital to ensure efficient resource management.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory reporting requirements and timely submission to relevant authorities.
• Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial and accounting procedures.
• Oversee and validate balance sheets, income statements, and other financial analyses to support business decisions.

• Lead and coordinate the accounting team to ensure performance, accuracy, and compliance.
• Assign clear responsibilities and update job descriptions for subordinates.
• Monitor discipline, accuracy, and compliance with internal regulations and labor legislation.
• Evaluate staff performance periodically and identify training and development needs.
• Motivate the team, fostering a culture of accountability, precision, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in the recruitment and selection of key financial staff.
• Safeguard the confidentiality of financial information and company data.
