Your knowledge in the engineering field is a must as you will play a key role in preparing and managing competitive technical and commercial offers, compliant with our clients’ requirements and needs. You’ll be involved in the entire offering process, from the bidding stage to the contract award. Throughout this process you’ll be constantly communicating and following up with company stakeholders, sub-contractors and vendors to facilitate the proposal bidding activities while engaging members of the team in a proactive manner.

To successfully accomplish your tasks, the following skills are essential:
  • Engineering knowledge: a solid understanding of engineering principles and the ability to comprehend technical specifications is crucial;
  • Verbal and written English communication: clear and effective communication is essential for presenting proposals, interacting with clients, and collaborating with internal teams;
  • Ability to create and deliver compelling presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences;
  • Understanding of sales strategies, customer needs analysis, and the ability to close deals;
  • Ability to negotiate terms, pricing, and contractual agreements with clients;
  • Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Coordinate with various departments to gather necessary information for proposals and ensure smooth project transitions;
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed decisions;
  • Quickly identify and solve problems that may arise during the proposal and sales process;
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry peers and colleagues;
  • Understand customer requirements and customize proposals to meet their specific needs;
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, finance, procurement and marketing, to gather relevant information for proposals;
  • Adapt to changes in project requirements, client needs, and industry trends;
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market dynamics;
  • Familiarity with software tools for proposal creation, project management, and customer relationship management;
  • Maintain a high level of ethical conduct, especially when dealing with clients and stakeholders;
  • Set and work towards achieving sales and proposal targets.

In your role, you will have the following responsibilities:
  • Drafting technical and commercial proposals as well as cost estimates for inquiries and orders;
  • Assess project quantities and costs efficiently for major tenders, ensuring timely and cost-effective preparation;
  • Oversee the compilation of cost reports and price forms by reviewing inputs from functional departments;
  • Stay informed about current competitive prices, emerging techniques, and cost trends in the industry;
  • Offer technical project coordination, ensuring timely completion of the tasks;
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on technical and cost-related aspects during contract acquisition;
  • Participate in technical meetings with clients and colleagues throughout the tendering process;
  • Coordinate and consolidate all estimating activities, demonstrating strong analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • Interpret engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and scope of works;
  • Set goals, plan effectively, and proactively follow up to achieve targets and objectives;
  • Generate handover reports for awarded projects and oversee post-order correspondence;
  • Adhere to all relevant Tendering/Proposals policies and procedures to ensure consistent and correct work.
