AWS DevSecOps Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for software engineers from Romania with a good grasp of programming fundamentals, and solid knowledge of AWS and DevOps Automation to help an active threat response team for a financial company.

Key Responsibilities

As an AWS DevSecOps engineer, you'll be at the forefront of our cloud security and automation efforts.

Your responsibilities include

● Be a great team player, who will thrive in our multidisciplinary squads, enjoying interaction with your Azure security, M365 security, and Detection and Response colleagues and open to sharing ideas and knowledge
● Curious about all areas of Cloud Technology and Automation, being able to demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and go deeper when necessary
● Experience with Infrastructure as Code, Terraform or CloudFormation and Configuration as Code, including AWS SSM, Ansible, and Bash
● Proficiency in Python for development
● Experience with REST and SOAP APIs
● Strong Linux administration skills
● Experience with container services (e.g., Docker and Kubernetes)
● Familiarity with version control tools (e.g., Git)
● Knowledge of networking, load-balancing principles, infrastructure management concepts, and common Internet services/protocols
● Excellent working knowledge of Cloud Infrastructure – S3, SQS, SNS, EFS, EC2s, DynamoDB
● Expertise in developing Lambda functions using AWS boto3 for accomplishing security objectives
● Design cloud infrastructure guardrails that are secure, scalable, and highly available on AWS
● Design and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate all aspects of building, testing, deploying, and monitoring applications in AWS

Required Skills

● 7 to 10 years of experience as a system administrator
● 5 to 7 years of experience with DevOps tools
● 5 to 7 years of experience in deploying infrastructure in AWS
● Experience working on an Agile Project
● Experience in working on large projects and interacting with several teams within the project

Qualifications

● 3-7+ years of experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer
● Certification in cloud such as AWS Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional)
● Experience with cloud infrastructure and services, such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform
● Programming/Scripting experience in popular languages like Python/JavaScript using the AWS SDKs like boto3
● Experience with Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible, Packer, etc
● Expertise in Linux and Windows System Administration
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Excellent communication and collaboration skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team
● AWS Service Control Policies (SCPs), AWS Control Tower, Snowflake knowledge or experience (Nice to Haves)
