Area Manager JD SPORTS

We are growing and we are currently looking for Area Manager to take over a part of the JD Sports Stores in Romania.

Our requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree (recommended management/economics/psychology),
• Experience in the position of Area Manager
• English language: min. C1 level
• Availability for business trips,
• Experience in working with KPI, reports and action plans,
• Driver’s license 

Your responsibilities:

People Management
• Train and coach store employees to succeed. You will be in charge of all employees within a number of stores, from Sales Assistants to Store Managers.
•  Ensure that all employees consistently apply JD Group employment policies, practices, and processes.
• Regularly review store employee performance based on required job competencies; conduct formal performance appraisals using internally established tools and programs. Design individual employee development plans together with employees to channel employee growth towards business objectives.

Sales and customer focus
• Analyse sales performance of each store and take action in order to achieve sales objectives.
• Identify and analyse customer demand trends, patterns and issues; partner with the Buying & Merchandising department to ensure the stores meet customer demand.
• Understand how to build a service focused culture that will generate high sales performance.
• Drive financial performance through using all available platforms, including in-store digital ordering, to maximise product availability.

Operational excellence
• Account for the correct execution of all administrative processes and procedures at Store & Area level.
• Ensures that all stores in the Area meet JD Group operational standards, including HR, Profit Protection and Health & Safety.
• Take accountability for all operational processes; effectively plan to ensure staffing costs are budgeted, controlled and teams are well staffed.

Visual Merchandising
• Work with the VM department to deliver exceptional retail standards and merchandising across all stores.
• Practice industry ground breaking VM strategies to improve purchasing and customer loyalty.
