[Additional Information]
Nexen Tire’s new Bucharest branch is preparing for official operations starting in January 2026. The exact office location is currently being finalized and will be announced in due course (likely in or near central Bucharest). Depending on the position and hiring stage, the recruitment process may take place either virtually or in person.

[Position Summary]
The Accounting Manager will be responsible for establishing and managing the accounting function of the newly launched Romania sales branch.
This role will ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations, oversee daily financial operations, and provide accurate and timely financial reports to support the business in its start-up and growth phases.

[Key Responsibilities]
Accounting Compliance
- Establish the accounting framework and processes for the new Romania branch in accordance with local statutory requirements (Romanian Accounting Standards – RAS) and IFRS.
- Maintain accurate and complete accounting records including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, fixed assets, and inventory accounting.
- Prepare statutory financial statements and coordinate with external auditors.
- Ensure full compliance with Romanian tax regulations (VAT, corporate tax, payroll tax, and other statutory filings).

Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management reports for local and regional stakeholders.
- Provide variance analysis against budget/forecast and offer recommendations for improvement.
- Support the branch’s cash flow management, including bank account operations, credit control, and collections.

Internal Controls & Process Development
- Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
- Work closely with the sales and operations teams to streamline order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes.
- Support ERP system setup and integration with corporate finance systems.

Team & Stakeholder Management
- Manage and mentor a small finance & admin team as the branch grows.
- Act as the primary contact for external accountants, auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
- Collaborate with the EU HQ finance team to ensure group reporting alignment.

[Qualifications & Requirements]
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA or equivalent certification preferred).
- Minimum 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
- Experience in setting up accounting operations for a new entity or branch is a strong advantage.
- Prior experience in automotive, manufacturing, or distribution sectors preferred.

Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of Romanian accounting standards, IFRS, and local tax laws.
- High proficiency in ERP/accounting software and MS Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently in a start-up environment while collaborating with a multicultural team.

Languages
- Fluent in Romanian and English (written & spoken).
- Additional European languages a plus.

[KPIs & Performance Metrics]
- Accuracy and timeliness of statutory and management reporting.
- Compliance rate for tax filings and regulatory requirements.
- Efficiency in month-end closing (closing within group timelines).
- Reduction in outstanding receivables and improvement in cash flow.
- Implementation of internal controls without major audit findings.
