Our client is a leader in the pool and wellness industry, dedicated to the design, manufacturing, and distribution of a complete range of solutions for residential and commercial pools.
We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Accountant to join the local team in Romania. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who enjoys working independently, taking ownership of accounting activities, and contributing to the development and optimization of financial processes.
Qualifications & Skills
- 4–5 years of experience in accounting roles (AP/AR, bookkeeping, GL, or similar).
- Experience in small companies or environments requiring autonomy is a strong plus.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and month-end close.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to propose improvements and build processes from scratch.
- Professional English (must be able to communicate in a professional environment).

- Manage accounts payable and receivable.
- Record invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Handle reconciliations (banks, suppliers, customers).
- Oversee petty cash and basic treasury tasks.
- Ensure all transactions are accurate and up to date.
Reporting & Cash Management
- Support month-end close activities and forecast & budget processes.
- Prepare basic financial reports for management (P&L, cashflow, outstanding payments).
- Track cash flow and upcoming obligations.
- Coordinate with external advisors (tax advisor, payroll provider, auditor).
Process Setup & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local accounting and tax regulations.
- Prepare documentation required for tax filings (VAT, corporate taxes, etc.).
