ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a versatile and proactive QA & Release Manager to join our development department. This full-time, remote role is ideal for someone who thrives in a diverse work environment and enjoys wearing multiple hats across functional QA, release management, and technical project coordination. If you are experienced in setting up testing processes and tools, have a sharp eye for detail, and enjoy driving process improvements, this role is for you!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Write, maintain, and execute test plans and test cases (manual and automated).
Plan, execute, and manage functional QA testing for web, mobile, TV/OTT Apps and software applications.
Perform ongoing testing of new features and regression testing of existing functionality.
Coordinate testing tasks with developers (developers may also run specific cases).
Manage the bug/defect reporting workflow, ensuring fixes are verified and retested.
Continuously improve QA processes to release stable, high-quality products.
Ensure cross-team alignment (Back-End ↔ Apps ↔ Support) during releases.
Work closely with developers throughout the full cycle: writing specs, testing during development, pre-release testing, post-release validation.
Maintain and optimize JIRA workflows, dashboards, tasks lists etc. in collaboration with developers and PMs.
Assist in project coordination, tracking timelines, deliverables, and dependencies
Prepare and manage release checklists, release notes, and approvals.
Serve as a liaison between the development team and other departments to ensure smooth handovers and communication around releases.

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in QA testing, ideally in an agile environment.
- Hands-on experience in test case creation and automation.
- Solid understanding of release cycles, version control, and deployment pipelines.
- Proficiency with JIRA, Confluence, and similar tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation ability.
- Highly organized and methodical, with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools and release workflows.
NICE-TO-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS
- Project management experience (advantageous but not mandatory).
- Experience with web development (PHP, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript).
- Experience testing mobile, web, and/or OTT/TV apps.
- Experience working in distributed/remote teams.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and release management processes.
