We are recruiting on behalf of a global manufacturer, with Danish roots and nearly 70 years of expertise in engine cooling solutions. With an advanced R&D center in Denmark and production sites in several countries, including Romania, the company combines sustainable innovation with a strong international presence.

To support continued growth of the Romania operations, we are looking for a Technical Manager to lead a multidisciplinary team of 10 engineers and technicians and drive technical delivery, stability, and improvement in the production environment. You will work closely with Production and Quality to ensure technical solutions are effective and fit for execution in day-to-day manufacturing.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving manufacturing setting, takes ownership, and leads by example through strong technical judgment, clear communication, and a practical, solution-driven mindset.

What you will be responsible for:

• Provide strong technical leadership by leading, developing, and motivating engineering and technical teams, acting as a trusted sparring partner on complex technical and organizational matters
• Set direction, priorities, and resource plans to ensure safe operations, high quality, and reliable delivery aligned with factory and business objectives
• Own key engineering frameworks, including ECR (Engineering Change Request) processes and design governance, ensuring structured documentation, compliance, and application of the four-eye principle
• Drive continuous improvement at factory level, proactively supporting quality performance, supplier development, and production efficiency, including automation and digitalization initiatives
• Act as an integral member of the local management team, contributing actively to cross-functional decisions, and ensuring engineering perspectives support overall operational and strategic goals

What you bring:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related technical discipline)
• Proven experience in a technical leadership / management role
• Solid background in a manufacturing / production environment, ideally within steel / metal industries
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and project management methodologies
• Experience working with 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools in an engineering environment
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Professional proficiency in English and Romanian, both written and spoken
