About the Role
The Finance Coordinator will play a key role in coordinating the day-to-day finance activities across the Shared Service Center.
This is not a traditional accounting management role. Instead, you will act as the operational coordinator of the finance team, ensuring that work is properly aligned, knowledge is shared, priorities are clear and the Finance Managers from the other countries receive excellent support.
You will work closely with the CFO, Finance Managers, Plant Controllers and the SSC Manager to continuously improve the finance processes while maintaining a collaborative and customer-focused finance organization.

Finance Operations Coordination
Coordinate the daily activities across the SSC finance team.
Ensure workload is balanced across the team.
Monitor priorities and support the resolution of operational bottlenecks.
Ensure critical finance activities are completed accurately and on time.
Coordinate month-end closing activities together with the Finance Managers.
Monitor service levels and ensure timely support to the business.
Knowledge Management
Ensure knowledge is shared across the SSC finance team.
Develop and maintain process documentation and work instructions.
Coordinate cross-training between team members.
Identify single points of failure and develop appropriate backup plans.
Support onboarding of new finance employees.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and simplify finance processes.
Standardize finance activities across Belgium, Romania and the United States.
Coordinate process improvement initiatives.
Work closely with the SAP team on finance-related improvements.
Promote automation wherever possible.
Business Support
Act as the first point of coordination for operational finance questions within the SSC.
Work closely with Finance Managers to understand changing business priorities.
Ensure finance activities remain aligned with operational needs.
Support special projects and finance transformation initiatives.
Performance Monitoring
Monitor key finance KPIs including:
Month-end close performance
Accounts Payable processing
Accounts Receivable collections
General Ledger activities
Fixed Asset accounting
Inventory accounting support
Internal Service Levels
Report recurring issues and recommend improvement actions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
Finance Managers
Plant Controllers
SSC Manager
Purchasing
Supply Chain
Operations
IT
HR
Foster collaboration across all finance teams within the organization.
Leadership Expectations
Although this role does not have direct disciplinary responsibility, the Finance Coordinator is expected to:

Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
5+ years of experience within Finance or Shared Services.
Experience coordinating finance teams or projects is considered a plus
Good understanding of:
Accounts Payable
Accounts Receivable
General Ledger
Month-End Close
Fixed Assets
Financial Reporting
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
Strong Excel skills.
Experience with Power BI is an advantage.
Excellent English communication skills.
