1. Summary / Purpose
The Sponsorship Manager designs, sells and manages sponsorship packages and commercial partnerships for Eurolink Alliance events and projects. This person owns sponsor relationships end-to-end: prospecting, proposal creation, negotiation, contracting, activation delivery at events and post-event reporting. The role combines sales/commercial skills, event delivery knowledge and strong stakeholder management to maximise sponsorship revenue and sponsor satisfaction.

2. Key responsibilities
(High-level then day-to-day examples)

Commercial & sales
  • Build and manage sponsorship pipeline (prospects → proposals → closed deals).
  • Create sponsorship packages, pricing models and bespoke proposals aligned to sponsor objectives (branding, lead generation, HCP engagement, product launches).
  • Negotiate commercial terms, manage contra agreements and ensure legal / compliance sign-off where required.

Relationship management & retention
  • Act as primary contact for sponsors pre-, during and post-event; coordinate expectations and approvals.
  • Maintain regular communication, execute sponsor briefings and lead on renewals and upsell opportunities.

Activation delivery & logistics
  • Translate sponsor packages into activation plans (stand build, branding, sessions, satellite symposia, digital assets) and coordinate delivery with event production, operations and vendors.
  • Manage sponsor deadlines (artwork, copy, shipping, on-site logistics) and ensure brand guidelines and compliance are met.

Contracting, finance & reporting
  • Draft or review commercial contracts, ensure correct invoicing schedules and monitor payments vs targets.
  • Deliver post-event sponsor reports (reach, impressions, leads, ROI metrics) and recommendations for next steps.

Strategy & product
  • Work with the Project Manager and Marketing to continuously refine sponsorship products and pricing; prepare new packages for evolving client needs (digital, hybrid, data-driven activations).
  • Feed market intelligence back into product development (what competitors/peer events sell, what sponsors demand).

3. Required skills & capabilities
Commercial & sales
  • Proven ability to hit revenue targets and manage a sales pipeline.
  • Strong negotiation skills and commercial awareness.

Event & activation knowledge
  • Experience with event activations (exhibition, sponsored sessions, digital sponsorships) and operational timelines.

Stakeholder & project management
  • Excellent stakeholder management, diplomacy and ability to coordinate multi-team delivery (events, marketing, finance, vendors).
  • Strong organisational skills to handle multiple sponsor campaigns concurrently.

Communication
Exceptional written and verbal communication — able to craft persuasive proposals and deliver sponsor briefings/presentations.

Analytical & reporting
  • Comfortable working with metrics (sponsorship revenue, lead volumes, engagement metrics) and producing clear post-event ROI reports.Technical / tools
  • Comfortable with Excel, PowerPoint, and event management systems. Familiarity with email marketing tools and analytics is an advantage.

4. Experience & qualifications
Essential
  • 3+ years of commercial/sponsorship sales or commercial roles in events, conferences, or partnerships (for healthcare/pharma, experience is strongly preferred).
  • Demonstrable track record of winning and delivering sponsorship deals.

Desirable
Experience in pharma/healthcare events or working with HCP engagement (understands regulatory sensitivities).Degree in Business, Marketing, Events Management or equivale
