The Senior Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and management of our network infrastructure supporting all IT and OT systems, ensuring optimal performance, security, scalability, and cost-efficiency.

Together with us, you have the chance to grow everyday, contributing to energy transition, being responsible of:

• Design or design validation of new solutions for all Business lines 

• Network configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and security 

• Documenting network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting procedures 

• Providing technical expertise for all Digital Solutions projects 

• Analyzing network traffic and designing new functionalities required by the Business 

• Collaborating with Digital Solutions teams, including system engineers and Level 1 support staff, to resolve issues 

• Ensuring service quality during changes in Telecommunication solutions 

• Facilitating knowledge transfer, including oral and written documentation and training of technical team members 

• Maintaining service continuity, monitoring, and responding to incidents in the Telecommunication area 

• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and best practices to continuously enhance network security and efficiency

What you’ll need to succeed: 

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Telecommunications, Automation, Computer Science 

• Minimum 10 years of work experience on network and telecommunication area, with relevant experience (minimum 5 years) in networking and security 

• Experience with software for capturing and analyzing network traffic

• Experience with monitoring systems 

• Cisco certifications (CCNP Enterprise and at least a secondary CCNP or specialist certification, to cover one from below - see nice to have section) 

• Palo Alto or Fortinet certification 

• English - advanced level 

Nice to have

• OT solutions / Utilities Business’ lines solutions e.g. SCADA, Smart Meter, Telemetering, Power Charging stations M2M 

• Voice over IP and wi-fi 

• Cisco ISE and integrations with other platforms 

• Understanding of cloud networking concepts (AWS, Azure, or GCP) 

• Knowledge of automation and scripting for network management (e.g., Python, Bash)
