Candidatul Ideal
- Bachelor’s degree in law.
- 5+ years of professional experience as an in-house (Senior) Legal Counsel in large international companies or practicing lawyer in international law firms, with a solid knowledge of RO and EU legislation, particularly in corporate and commercial law.
- Excellent written and spoken English skills, including the ability to independently draft, negotiate and review legal and commercial documentation in an international business environment.
- Strong ethical standards, integrity, and professional judgment.
- Good business acumen and the ability to provide practical, solution-oriented legal advice.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong process management, organizational, prioritization, and attention-to-detail skills.

Main Responsibilities:
- Provide proactive, pragmatic and business-oriented legal advice to management and stakeholders across a broad range of legal, compliance and corporate matters.
- Draft, review, negotiate and manage a wide variety of corporate and commercial agreements and legal documents, ensuring alignment with applicable laws, internal policies and the Company's risk management principles.
- Act as a trusted business partner, supporting strategic initiatives and enabling business objectives through commercially sound legal solutions.
- Serve as the local lead for data protection and GDPR matters, ensuring implementation of Group standards, policies and controls as well as adherence to applicable Romanian and European regulatory requirements.
- Support international legal projects at Xella and contribute to cross-functional projects, working closely with colleagues from Legal, Compliance, HR, Procurement, Finance and Operations.
- Support legal operations initiatives, develop and maintain legal templates, guidelines and knowledge management resources to support efficient and consistent business operations.
- Oversee corporate housekeeping and governance activities in Romania, ensuring compliance with company law requirements, Group governance standards and internal authorization frameworks.Coordinate and manage external legal counsel, ensuring high-quality legal support where specialist expertise is required.
