From this position, you will collaborate closely with our business stakeholders colleagues to gather, clarify, and document reporting and analytical requirements, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
Responsibilities:
Drive data-driven decision-making by delivering actionable insights through advanced analytics and visualization.
Contribute to the modernization of the company’s data infrastructure, supporting the transition to a scalable, automated BI and analytics environment.
Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries for efficient data extraction, transformation, and analysis across multiple data sources.
Design and build interactive dashboards and reports using Qlik Sense and Power BI, ensuring intuitive user experience and impactful visual storytelling.
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across all reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs through rigorous validation and quality checks.
Work extensively with relational databases and cloud-based data warehouses such as AWS Redshift and PostgreSQL to support analytical needs.
Collaborate with data engineers to enhance data pipelines, ETL processes, and overall data architecture for improved performance and scalability.
Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA) to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies, supporting predictive and prescriptive analytics initiatives.
Develop and maintain documentation for data models, processes, and reporting standards to ensure transparency and reproducibility.
Troubleshoot and resolve BI-related issues, including data discrepancies, dashboard errors, and performance bottlenecks.
Optimize dashboard and report performance, ensuring fast load times and efficient query execution.
Provide training and support to end-users, enabling self-service analytics and promoting data literacy across the organization.
Mentor junior team members, offering guidance on technical challenges, best practices, and career development.
Lead code reviews and enforce coding standards, ensuring maintainability, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in data analytics, BI tools, and cloud platforms to continuously improve processes.
Assist in data governance and compliance efforts, ensuring adherence to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
Support advanced analytics initiatives, including statistical modeling, forecasting, and machine learning projects where applicable.
What you’ll need to succeed:
4+ years of experience in Data Analysis, Business Intelligence, or related roles, with a strong focus on turning data into actionable insights.
Expert-level SQL skills, including writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting complex queries for relational databases (AWS Redshift, PostgreSQL, Oracle SQL, MySQL). Ability to design efficient queries for large datasets and ensure high performance.
Hands-on experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI and Qlik Sense, creating interactive dashboards and reports that clearly communicate insights.
Proven ability to perform Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) to identify trends, correlations, anomalies, and opportunities for business improvement.
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and ETL processes; experience with orchestration tools like Apache Airflow is a plus.
Ability to translate business requirements into analytical solutions, ensuring alignment between technical outputs and strategic objectives.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience working on large and complex datasets.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging with business stakeholders to gather requirements and explain findings in a clear, actionable manner.
Familiarity with data warehouses and cloud-based environments (AWS preferred).
Knowledge of DAX (Power BI) and Qlik scripting is an advantage.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.
Nice to Have:
Experience with at least one programming language (Python, R, Java, etc.) for data manipulation and automation.
Understanding of data governance principles, security best practices, and compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR).
Familiarity with agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
Exposure to Machine Learning concepts and predictive modeling.
