Payroll Manager- HYBRID- Bucharest / Brasov

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Manager to lead and optimize payroll operations in a fast-paced BPO environment. The role has a strong focus on process automation, operational efficiency, and close collaboration with operational managers. Experience with Charisma and Workday is essential.


The person will be the one to report accurate payroll slip based on local legislation, in alignment with corporate internal rules.

The person will have direct reporting line to Chief Financial Officer. The person needs to be good with numbers and be trusted worthy with sensitive information. The person will need to have great communication skills to interact with colleagues and executives. The goal is to ensure accurate payroll payment in a timely manner.

Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing

Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for +4000 employees, ensuring compliance with local and corporate regulations.

• Team Leadership

Supervise and mentor the payroll team, providing training and support to ensure high performance, adherence to best practices and efficiency gains.

• Reporting and payment

Generate and analyze payroll reports, addressing discrepancies and providing insights to management.

• Compliance

Keep updated with payroll regulations and compliance requirements, implementing necessary changes to policies and procedures, processes and systems;
Responsible for statutory reporting

• System Management

Manage payroll software and systems, ensuring data accuracy and efficiency in payroll processing.

• Collaboration

Work closely with Operations, HR, Finance and other departments to resolve payroll-related inquiries and enhance overall processes.

• Audit Preparation

Assist internal and external audits, ensuring all payroll documentation accuracy and completion.

• Employee support

Address payroll-related inquiries from employees, providing timely and accurate responses.

Requirements:

• Proven 7+ years’ experience in payroll management or similar role;
• Solid understanding of payroll fundamentals and best practices;
• Strong knowledge of legislation, regulations and compliance requirement;
• Proficient in MS Office , good knowledge of relevant software (e.g. Charisma, Workday is a plus) and databases;
• Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality;
• Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail;
• Excellent communication skills;
• University diploma or equivalent: accounting or relevant field is a plus.
