IAM Senior Specialist - (Identity Access Management)

We are searching for IAM Specialist for our client, a multinational company, global leader in trade credit insurance, specialized in the areas of surety, collections, structured trade credit and political risk, with a wide presence across over 40 countries.

Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced IAM Specialist (Senior) to join an Identity and Access Management team based in Romania. This is a high-impact operational role, working closely with the IAM Team Leader to ensure disciplined execution of IAM processes and contribute to the IAM transformation across the European scope.

You will take ownership of high-value IAM activities such as controls, recertifications, complex incident handling, and governance support. The role also includes supporting the Team Leader in implementing the IAM Target Operating Model (TOM) and helping strengthen the skills of junior team members.

Key Responsibilities
High-Value IAM Operations.
Execute IAM controls and access recertification campaigns across European operations.
Monitor IAM automation processes (identity creation, provisioning, joiner/mover/leaver workflows).
Serve as a point of contact for complex IAM topics, supporting triage and workload distribution with the Team Leader.
Support the implementation and operational maintenance of the IAM Target Operating Model (TOM).
Handle escalated IAM incidents and access-related issues requiring advanced troubleshooting.

Governance Support
Provide IAM governance support: explain processes, educate users and promote best practices.
Maintain and update IAM communication materials (website content, Confluence pages, documentation).
Contribute with structured operational input to cross-departmental initiatives.
Act as an operational coordination point between HR, Service Desk, and IT for IAM processes and onboarding workflows.

Team Support & Knowledge Sharing
Support the Team Leader in coaching and guiding junior IAM team members.
Consolidate documentation, lessons learned, and internal knowledge.
Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving.

Reporting & Communication
Provide clear operational reporting on activities, progress, and issues
Track operational KPIs (recertifications, automation performance, incident resolution, etc.)
Communicate effectively with stakeholders and management in English.

Profile & Requirements
Experience
6–8 years of professional experience in IT, operations, or related fields.
Experience working across multiple technologies and departments (IT, Security, Operations, Support, Projects).
Exposure to IAM, Cybersecurity, IT Risk, IT Audit, or IT Governance (deep IAM expertise is a plus, not mandatory).
Experience in roles requiring adaptability, autonomy, and cross-functional interaction.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and adapt to new domains and technologies.

Technical Background
Solid understanding of IT and security fundamentals.
Familiarity with IAM concepts: identity lifecycle, access provisioning, governance, controls, recertification.
Knowledge of Active Directory principles (concepts and operation).
Comfortable with Jira, Confluence, and O365.
Ability to learn and operate custom IAM tools and automation workflows.

Fast learner, capable of becoming fully operational on IAM topics within 3–6 months.

Fluent English (written and spoken).
