CTP Group is expanding its engineering team and is recruiting an experienced Electrical Design Engineer for international development projects in the automotive and industrial vehicle sector.
This role offers the opportunity to work on complex electrical systems, covering the full lifecycle from concept and design to testing and production support, within a stable, professional, and technically advanced environment.

Your Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of vehicle electrical subsystems, electrical wiring, and the integration of electromechanical components, supporting both series production and development projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and development of electrical vehicle subsystems and wiring concepts;
- Coordination and integration of electromechanical components within vehicle architectures;
- Development of vehicle- and customer-specific electrical options within defined vehicle structures;
- Implementation of modifications and extensions to existing assemblies, including component replacement or redesign;
Preparation and maintenance of technical documentation, including:
- circuit diagrams,
- 2D wiring harness layouts,
- effort estimations,
- datasets,
- request and change documentation,
- bills of materials (BOMs);
- Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders (suppliers, purchasing, change management, production);
- Setup, commissioning, and validation of test rigs, vehicle prototypes, and components;
- Technical support during initial production builds and ramp-up phases;
- (Optional) Creation of 3D documentation for assemblies and components (CAD data, assembly drawings, BOMs).
Qualifications:
- Degree or vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, Communications Engineering, or a related technical field;
- Proven experience in the design and development of automotive electrical systems, including:
- wiring harnesses,
- mechatronic and electronic components,
- vehicle bus systems (e.g. CAN);
- Knowledge of machinery and industrial vehicle standards, including the Machinery Directive and risk analysis;
- Experience in manufacturing environments, wiring harness production, component testing, mobile machinery, or industrial vehicles is an advantage;
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics and control engineering;
- Fluent English and German, both written and spoken.
