The Editorial Team is looking to hire a full-time, on-site English-Language Editor to support analytical writing and editorial production under the Senior Editor.

Location: Bucharest, Romania
Reports to: Senior Editor

Requirements:
- Please do not apply unless you have native or near-native English proficiency
- Preferred 4–6 years of experience in newsroom, wire service, think-tank publication, or related field
- Exceptional skills in line editing and copyediting complex analytical content
- Background in producing high-quality written content on politics and international affairs
- Solid understanding of international affairs, geopolitics, and foreign policy
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and collaborate with analysts and researchers
- Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, international affairs, or a related discipline
- Availability for full-time, on-site work (Bucharest center)

Key Responsibilities:
- Line editing, copyediting, refining, and producing political analyses and international affairs content—including intelligence briefs, geopolitical reports, and op-eds
- Ensuring logic, clarity, and editorial quality according to the outlet's standards
- Monitoring global political developments and contributing analytical coverage
- Coordinating with the editorial and research teams
- Upholding and enforcing the platform’s style guide, ensuring terminological precision—especially regarding military and intelligence terminology.
- Verify accuracy of factual claims, data points, and references in coordination with researchers
- Craft compelling headlines, decks, and pull quotes that capture the essence of complex reports for a specialist audience.
- Collaborate with the multimedia team to identify opportunities for supporting visual assets, such as maps, charts, or embedded video
