As a fast-growing Romanian startup specializing in consultancy, IT, back-office, and accounting services, we're expanding our team and looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Back Office Accountant to support our senior accounting team.
🧾 What You’ll Do
You’ll play a key role in our daily accounting operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly. Your responsibilities include:
- Reconciliation of bank payments
- Processing vendor invoices
- Monitoring payment statuses and overdue balances
- Providing support to operational teams, including handling reversals
- Collaborating closely with senior accountants and the wider team
This role is ideal for someone who loves structure, problem-solving, and continuous learning.
🎯 Must-Have Qualifications
We’re looking for someone with:
- Strong English skills (B2 - C1 level)
- Solid Excel skills
- Accounting studies, certification, or diploma
- A team-player attitude, proactive mindset, and problem-solving skills
- Precision and attention to detail
- An organized, structured way of working
- Comfort with a fast-changing environment
- Quick learner of new systems and workflows
⭐ Nice-to-Have Skills
These aren’t mandatory, but they’ll give you an edge:
- Experience with Odoo or similar accounting software
- Additional languages: Dutch, German, or others
- Experience with CargoWise or another TMS
- Multi-entity accounting background
