The role:
Ensure global design consistency for all APIs, by controlling the application of API design principles that are agreed upon with the global API developer and PO community. Ensure consistency of user access management role design with the global guideline and catalog, in alignment with UM (user management) project.

API
Meticulous analysis of API designs submitted by ITMP teams, ensuring adherence to the style guide owned by the central API governance team.
Challenging functional consistency with Company’s Data Model and DOM.
Mitigating the deviances but also to coach them on improving their design skills over time.
Participate in occasional strategic discussions with transversal IT teams (Architecture, Cloud foundation, Development, Security, etc) on maintaining and continuously improving effective design patterns.
Review the API designs critically from a business standpoint (consistency of object namings, avoidance of jargon and technical artefacts, pertinence of data sources, uniqueness of data objects etc).
Maintain a high level of relationship with all the API Product owners.
Validate Open API specs within Gitlab, block delivery where quality is not met.
Document reasoning, coach the concerned IT developers regarding the applicable rules and why we enforce them.
Train and Coach product Owners on the API design requirements.
Continuous improvement on the validation toolchain, with focus on automation and Self-Service for the PO and dev community.
Governance:
Validate Roles, profiles and Action keys.
Propose improvement where needed.
Coach the concerned IT developers and product owners / BAs on how to define these. attributes in consistency with company security needs.
Meticulous analysis of access management role and profile definitions provided by those same ITMP programs, ensuring consistency with company’s role-based access (RBAC) security principles.
Apply company's custom tooling for the validation of naming conventions, avoidance of redundancy, etc.
Contribute to the evolution of these tools with the aim of continuous improvement and automation.
Requirements:
Skills and experience
2-5 years experience in API and Governance, combined skills would be ideal.
Strongly business-oriented mindset but capable to deal with significant technical complexities.
Proven ability to challenge even senior developers and Product Owners, who might otherwise. tempt an argument for an exceedingly high amount of design exceptions.
Knowledge
Basic knowledge of AWS, a development language like nodeJS & an API testing tool like Postman would be appreciated.
Maintain a good knowledge of the API state of the art.
Substantial expertise with REST API and OpenAPI 3 / JSON concepts and designs.
Language and interpersonal skills
English – medium/ advanced (both oral and written).
Be passionate about data modeling and APIs as a means of business optimization and process transformation.
Ability to understand client needs and market trends through client interaction and other market research.
Evangelize your product internally through intuitive presentations, demos and development of relevant collateral (e.g. online demos, case studies, workshops, etc...).
High level of reactivity.
Nice to have:
Trade Credit Insurance (TCI) knowledge.
Experience in Agile Organizational models.
Experience in Banking or Finance environment.
