Founded in 1936 as a manufacturer of spark plugs, the company's core competence has always been the automotive field. Today, the Automotive Components business has expanded to become the world’s number one global manufacturer of OE and Aftermarket ignition and vehicle electronics parts. Representing around 82% of the business activities, it is also the largest of the company’s businesses, covering the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and the Original Equipment Supply (OES) business. It supplies almost all of the well-known OE manufacturers, as well as the Independent Aftermarket (IAM) for a variety of applications.
