ManpowerGroup Romania is recruiting on behalf of an important client in the insurance industry for a Underwriter Team Leader - (RCA & CASCO) position.

This role is suitable for a professional with solid expertise in RCA and Casco underwriting, risk assessment, and team coordination, who can optimize underwriting processes and support the development of a profitable and sustainable portfolio.

Requirements
University degree, preferably in Economics, Business, Finance, Insurance, or a Technical field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in motor insurance, with expertise in RCA and Casco underwriting.
Strong knowledge of the legislation and regulatory requirements applicable to motor insurance.
Advanced risk assessment and RCA/Casco portfolio management skills.
Excellent coordination, communication, and decision-making abilities.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous process improvement.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and very good knowledge of the MS Office package.
Intermediate to advanced English language skills, both written and spoken.
Strong leadership skills, integrity, and a commitment to team development.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate and supervise the activity of the RCA and Casco underwriting team, ensuring compliance with quality standards, response deadlines, internal policies, and underwriting procedures.
Plan and organize the team's activity, prioritize and allocate quotation and underwriting requests according to complexity and deadlines.
Evaluate risks, analyze complex insurance requests, and approve underwriting decisions within delegated authority limits. Handle escalated or complex cases and provide technical support to team members.
Monitor the performance of the RCA and Casco portfolio and the underwriting team, track performance indicators, identify optimization opportunities, and propose measures to improve technical and commercial results.
Manage and contribute to the development of the RCA and Casco portfolio, with a focus on profitability, sustainability, and risk quality.
Contribute to the development and optimization of products, procedures, and underwriting workflows, as well as to the implementation of process improvement projects.
Propose changes to insurance conditions, premium rates, and internal guidelines based on market feedback and operational experience, and participate in product development and review projects.
Actively contribute to the development and improvement of IT applications used in underwriting activities through product configuration, testing of new functionalities, and reporting system issues.
Support management by monitoring performance indicators, reporting results, and implementing operational and strategic objectives.
Lead and develop the underwriting team through mentoring, knowledge sharing, continuous feedback, and support for the professional development of team members.
