Job Description

Purpose of the role

The Technical Support Engineering Manager bridges daily operations and reliability engineering for the Wizz Air Hungary and Malta fleets. This role focuses on monitoring repetitive defects, performing troubleshooting analysis, and driving improvements in fleet reliability and maintenance practices.

Responsibilities

•Develop procedures to address long-term reliability issues
•Investigate repetitive defects, issue corrective actions, and follow up post-rectification
•Identify potential system failures under the predictive maintenance program, issue pre-emptive corrective actions, and follow up post-rectification
•Collaborate with MCC and engineering departments to resolve daily operational issues and assist with AOG recoveries
•Own CEIS or trial projects, manage OEM reporting and communication and follow up post-trial
•Oversee temporary repairs performed during AOG recoveries or base maintenance, liaise with OEM for final repair instructions, and coordinate with planning and material supply teams
•Handle long-term troubleshooting cases beyond MCC's scope, including OEM communication and rectification organization
•Build strong relationships with manufacturers to ensure continued airworthiness and improve fleet reliability
•Refine processes to enhance aircraft reliability and AMP effectiveness
•Lead ad-hoc projects or tasks assigned
•Follow Safety Management System requirements
