Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a colleague who brings:
  • At least 3–5 years of professional experience in tax advisory, with strong exposure to direct taxes (ideally including M&A and tax due diligence projects)
  • Very good knowledge of Romanian corporate taxes (knowledge of indirect taxes is not a requirement, but will be welcomed)
  • Enthusiasm and willingness to develop a career in tax advisory and the ability to successfully collaborate with the team
  • Strong analytical, technical and research skills, with a solution‑oriented mindset
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and ensure the accuracy of client deliverables
  • Ability to adapt and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic client environment
  • Team‑oriented attitude, initiative and sense of responsibility
  • Excellent communication skills and fluency in English, to effectively interface with all levels of firm management and staff, clients, and other external business contacts
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field (professional certifications represent an advantage)

Join our Tax team and support clients in navigating complex Romanian and international tax matters by delivering high‑quality advisory solutions.

As a Senior Tax Consultant at TPA Romania, you will contribute to a wide range of tax projects, including M&A transactions, tax due diligence, tax reviews, and ongoing advisory, while further strengthening your technical expertise and expanding into new tax areas within an international professional services environment.

Key Responsibilities

As Senior Tax Consultant your responsibilities will include:
  • Working extensively with Romanian tax legislation and relevant international tax regulations
  • Participating in various tax projects, including tax advisory and structuring, tax reviews, tax due diligence and M&A-related projects, tax compliance engagements
  • Providing technical input on direct taxes
  • Collaborating with senior team members on client strategy and complex tax matters
  • Building and maintaining professional relationships with clients, as well as with colleagues within TPA Group and Baker Tilly International
  • Applying professional judgment and technical expertise to address client requests
  • Continuously developing technical and consulting skills through on‑the‑job work and formal training
  • Working effectively as part of a team to ensure timely and high‑quality delivery of projects.
