The QA Automation Engineer will help ensure quality across UI, API, integration, database and end-to-end layers, using modern automation practices and AI-assisted engineering where appropriate.
Required Experience and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of quality assurance/testing experience in a software or SaaS environment
• Demonstrable experience with test automation of multi-layer, n-tier Web applications using Selenium, Cucumber, or similar tools
• Ability to review complex software and API specifications with a focus on testability, risk-based testing, quality improvements and early defect prevention
• Programming/scripting skills in at least one modern language such as Java or Python
• Experience testing REST APIs and web services; familiarity with tools/frameworks such as Postman, REST Assured or similar
• Experience with CI/CD and source-control workflows (e.g. Git, GitLab/GitHub/Jenkins or similar) is a strong plus
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum teams and knowledge of Agile ceremonies and shift-left quality practices
• Experience with SQL and relational databases is required; ability to validate data at the database layer
• Experience with performance/load testing tools such as JMeter is a plus
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software engineering/testing tools (e.g. LLM-based coding assistants) and the ability to critically review AI-generated test cases, code and results is a strong plus
• Knowledge of prompt engineering, AI-assisted test design, failure analysis or AI/agent-based testing workflows is a plus
• Domain knowledge in Healthcare and/or Financial Services is a plus

Job Responsibilities
• Drive a quality-first automation strategy, reducing repetitive manual testing while retaining appropriate exploratory and risk-based testing
• Design and maintain reliable, scalable and maintainable automated test suites covering UI, API, integration and end-toend scenarios
• Analyze functional and technical requirements, user stories and API specifications and translate them into risk-based test scenarios, detailed test cases and automated checks
• Build and maintain automation using modern frameworks such as Selenium and/or Playwright, with appropriate design patterns, reusable components, test data management and reporting
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and help establish fast, reliable quality gates for software delivery
• Perform API, database and integration testing, including validation of business rules, data integrity, error handling and edge cases
• Investigate failures, distinguish product defects from automation/environment issues, reduce test flakiness and continuously improve test reliability
• Use AI-assisted tools responsibly to accelerate test design, automation development, refactoring, documentation and failure analysis, while applying human review and maintaining code/test quality
• Evaluate AI-generated test scenarios and automation code for correctness, coverage, maintainability, security and alignment with the actual application context
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and collaborate closely with developers, product owners and other stakeholders to identify and prevent quality risks early
• Manage defects effectively by documenting, troubleshooting, reproducing and isolating issues, and provide clear evidence to support resolution• Contribute to continuous improvement of the QA automation framework, test strategy, tooling, documentation and engineering practices

• The role is not intended to replace core QA engineering skills with AI. AI is treated as an engineering accelerator that requires human validation.
• Strong candidates should be able to understand and maintain the generated automation, not simply generate scripts with an AI assistant.
• Priority should be given to candidates who combine programming, API/UI automation, CI/CD and sound testing judgment with practical AI-tool fluency.
