Candidate profile:
- Degree in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar technical fields.
- Basic exposure to PLC programming, industrial automation, or embedded systems (university projects are welcome)
- Hands-on mindset and curiosity about how machines work
- Structured way of working and willingness to follow technical guidance
- Team spirit and openness to feedback
- Good command of English (written and spoken)
- Willingness to travel for initial training at Delta Engineering Belgium and occasionally to customer sites

As an Automation Engineer, you will play an important role in bringing our machines to life - from early programming stages to commissioning at customer sites.
This role is ideal for someone with good attitude, growth potential, and good technical basis who is motivated to learn how industrial machines are programmed, tested and commissioned.
You will work together with experienced automation engineers who will guide you step by step and support your development.
A structured onboarding and training period is planned, including initial training at Delta Engineering Belgium.

Responsibilities:
- Support automation engineers during PLC programming and testing activities.
- Assist with machine testing and basic troubleshooting in the workshop.
- Help prepare technical documentation and simple functional descriptions.
- Participate in machine start-up activities together with senior engineers.
- Learn how to work with sensors, actuators, and industrial control systems.
- Gradually take on more responsibility as you gain experience.
- Structured onboarding and mentoring from experienced automation engineers
