Ideal Candidate
Several years of professional experience in import customs operations, customs compliance, and customs authorization management.
Strong knowledge of international customs regulations, particularly EU Customs Law (UCC), with additional knowledge of US customs regulations or other third-country customs frameworks considered an advantage.
Experience working with customs management systems and ERP platforms; SAP experience is a plus.
Strong communication, consulting, and stakeholder management skills within an international business environment.
Structured, detail-oriented, and independent working style with a strong commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Ability to analyze complex regulatory requirements and implement practical operational solutions.
Very good command of German and English, both written and spoken.

Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for a customs and international trade professional to join a global organization and contribute to the development, optimization, and compliance of customs processes across international operations. The successful candidate will act as a key expert and advisor on customs-related matters, ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting efficient and standardized import processes worldwide.
Key Responsibilities
Advise and support international subsidiaries on all customs-related import processes, controls, and compliance requirements.
Manage and monitor customs authorizations, permits, and special procedures, ensuring full compliance with applicable customs regulations and legal requirements.
Coordinate and support internal and external audits related to import customs activities and maintain effective communication with customs authorities.
Define, analyze, and monitor customs KPIs to ensure process efficiency, transparency, and compliance across the organization.
Identify opportunities for process optimization and continuously improve group-wide import procedures in line with international customs regulations.
Collaborate closely with Logistics, Procurement, Compliance, Legal, and other relevant departments to ensure seamless customs operations.
Monitor and assess developments in global customs legislation, including EU, US, and other international regulations, translating legal requirements into practical business solutions.
Develop, maintain, and update customs-related policies, guidelines, standards, and work instructions.
Provide training, guidance, and ongoing support to customs responsible personnel across global subsidiaries.
Promote best practices and knowledge sharing throughout the organization to strengthen customs compliance and operational excellence.
