• - Lead and manage the Chicken Category Team within Supply Chain department with the objectives to ensure uninterrupted supply, maximize service level, spot and secure price savings for long-term value, minimize inventory, reduce logistic cost and streamline the physical flows from suppliers to customers.
• - Coordinate the procurement activity for the category in charge: analyse procurement needs, organize auctions, negotiate the commercial conditions, identify new suppliers or seek alternative supply solutions, manage and record contracts, coordinate data reporting, ensure a proper contract management for all company’s suppliers.
• - Monitor suppliers’ performance evaluating their ability to consistently meet quality and delivery requirements but also suppliers’ capability to obtain and maintain their needed food safety certifications.
• - Identify and qualify new suppliers (in collaboration with other departments).
• - Seek and implement opportunities to improve internal procurement processes to achieve better transparency, process simplification and cost savings; develop policies, procedures and working tools to improve the activity.
• - Organize and prepare inter-departmental meetings to discuss projects’ update and facilitate the necessary decisions, supporting these decisions with data-driven analysis and industry-related intel.
• - Manage and minimize risks (e.g., operational, or reputational) that could affect or disrupt the supply and distribution chain and reduce the environmental impact of the supply and distribution chain to meet the objectives of sustainability.
• - Implement new technologies and stay tuned to new trends and developments in the field and provides support for the implementation of group-level automation, such as (but not limited to) integrated ERP systems.
