Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in Credit Risk, preferably within commodity trading, energy, or banking.
- Strong knowledge of credit assessment, risk management and collections.
- Fluent English and experience working in an international environment.
- Strong business acumen with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Able to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical, detail-oriented and well-organized.
- Good knowledge of SAP and Advanced Excel; experience with Medissys and Power BI is an advantage.
Job Description
The role is responsible for credit process compliance and overall credit risk management across APAC and EMEA, managing a portfolio of approximately 300 customers and $400M in credit exposure.
Key responsibilities include credit risk assessment, exposure monitoring, collections, bad debt recovery, credit insurance and trade finance, while acting as a key business partner to Trading, Operations, Finance, Legal, banks and insurers.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the credit portfolio for approximately 300 customers across APAC and EMEA, with a total credit exposure of around $400M.
- Perform credit risk assessments, approve credit limits and monitor customer exposure.
- Manage collections, overdue payments, bad debt recovery and support customer onboarding (KYC).
- Oversee credit insurance, trade finance activities and Accounts Receivable (AR) financing programs.
- Review commercial and legal contracts from a credit and risk perspective.
- Monitor trading and credit limits, ensuring compliance with internal policies.
- Prepare credit risk reports, presentations and recommendations for management.
- Partner closely with Trading, Operations, Finance, Legal, Treasury, banks, brokers and credit insurers.
- Coordinate credit committees, provide guidance to stakeholders and support risk-related decision making.
- Maintain customer data and credit limits in SAP and other internal systems (e.g. Medissys).
