🧭 About the Role
As Operational Buyer you will play a key role in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of materials required for production activities within our greenfield manufacturing site.
You will be responsible for managing purchase orders, coordinating supplier deliveries, maintaining accurate ERP data, and supporting material planning activities to ensure optimal inventory levels and production continuity. Acting as a vital link between suppliers and internal stakeholders, you will contribute directly to operational efficiency, supply reliability, and the successful growth of our new manufacturing operation.

🔹 Essential Requirements
- Secondary or higher education, or a commercial qualification combined with relevant professional experience.
- 1–2 years of experience in Procurement, Supply Chain, Logistics, Material Planning, Production Planning, or Order Management.
- Experience working with ERP systems; SAP knowledge is considered a strong advantage.
- Confident English language skills (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively in an international environment and participate in training abroad.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
- Understanding of material planning, inventory management, and supply continuity principles.
- Experience coordinating suppliers, managing purchase orders, and monitoring deliveries.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a structured way of working.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to manage priorities in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business purposes.
- Comfortable working in a greenfield/start-up environment and contributing to the development of new processes and ways of working.

- Ensure uninterrupted material availability for production through effective material planning and order management.
- Process purchase orders based on production requirements and follow up on supplier deliveries.
- Monitor delivery schedules, track delayed shipments, and proactively resolve supply-related issues.
- Support the maintenance of appropriate inventory levels while balancing supply continuity and operational efficiency.
- Create, maintain, and update purchasing and material data in SAP, ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery information.
- Support reporting activities and maintain high-quality purchasing records within ERP systems.
- Communicate daily with suppliers regarding purchase orders, delivery commitments, and material availability.
- Collaborate closely with Production, Logistics, and other internal departments to ensure smooth material flow.
- Support the resolution of delivery-related and quality-related issues together with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Contribute to new product introduction activities (BIO) and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
