Location: Sibiu
We are recruiting an experienced Buyer for an international manufacturing company. The role involves managing procurement activities for direct and indirect materials, developing reliable supplier partnerships and ensuring the continuity of production.
Requirements:
- relevant procurement experience within a manufacturing environment;
- experience in manufacturing, automotive, mechanical engineering or another industrial sector is preferred;
- strong sourcing, negotiation and supplier-management skills;
- experience working with ERP systems;
- good command of English;
- structured, proactive and results-oriented working style;
- ability to work independently and take ownership of supplier relationships;
- experience within an international manufacturing organization is considered an advantage.
The position is suitable for a procurement professional who wants to contribute actively to the development and continuous improvement of purchasing activities within a complex industrial environment.
Job Description
- manage end-to-end procurement activities supporting manufacturing operations;
- coordinate sourcing, supplier qualification, commercial evaluations and RFQ processes;
- negotiate prices, commercial terms and delivery conditions;
- identify cost-effective and reliable supply solutions, including opportunities to source raw materials directly from manufacturers;
- develop long-term supplier relationships to improve delivery performance, quality and procurement efficiency;
- issue purchase orders and monitor their execution;
- monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve delivery, quality or commercial issues;
- support cost-reduction and inventory-optimization initiatives;
- monitor inventory levels and collaborate with Production Planning to ensure material availability while minimizing excess stock;
- work closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, Logistics and Finance to support operational continuity and business objectives.
