The engineer must also ensure data privacy, security and comply with all relevant regulations

This important role within technology is to:

Develop, construct, and implement data pipelines and structured data stores for specific organizational groups.
Deliver automated and repeatable data insights for corporate consumers.
Develop data visualizations for newly implemented backend data objects.
Join multiple data sources into a single data store enabling data insights.
Build out a global data store to deliver trustworthy data in a robust delivery method.

What will I be doing?

Design, construct, install, test and maintain data management systems.
Developing and maintaining Google BigQuery data models in support of data analysis projects, predictive models, data governance and quality controls.
Optimizing BigQuery performance and managing costs.
Configure data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes including asynchronous. communication models for complex cloud applications.
Working closely with product owners and other stakeholders to understand and meet their data needs.
Collaborating with other teams to integrate systems and achieve data interoperability.
Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and other Cloud Platform services.
Develop data architecture designs and engineering discussions.
Ensuring compliance with data privacy, security regulations and company security standards.

What do I need to bring with me?

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
3 year experience with BigQuery or other big data technologies.
Expert in SQL and 3 years’ experience with other programming languages (C#, Java, Python).
Extensive knowledge of data modeling and ETL processes including messaging services.
Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases.
Good problem-solving skills and ability to optimize for performance and cost.
Understanding of data privacy and security regulations.
Certification in Google Cloud Platform or other relevant fields.
Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau.
Proficiency in cloud architecture and understanding of cloud design principles.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with machine learning models and AI technologies is a plus.
