Ideal Candidate

•Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Environmental Engineering or a related field. 
•Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction of water supply and/or wastewater infrastructure. 
•Proven experience with water supply pipeline works and distribution pipelines, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects. 
•Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment plant construction would be an advantage. 
•Good knowledge of pipeline construction methods, materials, fittings, valves, chambers and associated structures. 
•Experience with pipeline testing, commissioning and handover procedures. 
•Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation. 
•Good understanding of relevant technical standards, construction regulations and quality requirements. 
•Previous experience coordinating subcontractors and multidisciplinary site teams. 
•Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple site activities and priorities. 
•Good communication and coordination skills. 
•Strong computer skills.
•Fluency in Romanian – mandatory and good working knowledge in English – required. 
•Willingness to work predominantly on site and travel within the project area.

Job Description

•Supervise and coordinate the execution of water and wastewater utility networks on site, including approximately 60 km of water supply pipeline works pipelines. 
•Monitor the installation, testing, commissioning and completion of water supply and wastewater pipelines and related infrastructure. 
•Ensure that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved designs, technical specifications, applicable standards and project requirements. 
•Coordinate with subcontractors, site teams, designers and the client to ensure the smooth execution of network-related works. 
•Review technical drawings, specifications and construction documentation. 
•Prepare method statements for pipeline construction. 
•Monitor construction progress, identify technical issues and propose appropriate solutions. 
•Ensure proper implementation of pipeline alignment, levels, connections, manholes, valves, chambers and associated structures. 
•Coordinate and monitor pressure testing, leakage testing, disinfection, flushing and other required pipeline tests. 
•Support the coordination of interfaces between the utility networks and the water treatment and wastewater treatment plants. 
•Verify quantities, measurements and completed works and provide technical input for progress reporting and payment documentation. 
•Monitor compliance with quality, health & safety and environmental requirements on site. 
•Maintain accurate site records, as-built information and technical documentation. 
•Participate in site meetings, inspections, testing and commissioning activities. 
•Report regularly on progress, technical challenges and potential risks related to the utility networks.
