Senior Technical Office Engineer – Bucharest
Ideal Candidate
Requirements:
- Higher technical education – Faculty of Civil Engineering/Installations/Roads or similar;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role (cost estimation technical office applications in road construction);
- Experience working with CNAIR (National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration) is an advantage;
- Solid knowledge of cost estimation, construction-specific legislation and FIDIC type contracts;
- Proficiency in cost estimation software (e.g., WinDeviz or equivalent);
- Good knowledge of MS Office (advanced Excel) and AutoCAD (an advantage);
- Analytical skills and attention to detail;
- Organizational and communication skills; ability to meet deadlines;
- Willingness of creating good communications among other departments;
- Proficiency in written and spoken English;
- Category B driving license – availability for site visits/travel.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Project management and monitoring, progress reports, Gantt charts, and execution schedules;
- Preparation and submission of interim payment certificates to the client;
- Drafting contracts and interim payment certificates for subcontractors;
- Checking and validation of interim payment certificates of subcontractors;
- Verifying and reconciling executed work quantities against project plans and site-generated work records;
- Collaborating with the execution teams from site, procurement, and finance departments to prepare documentation required to submit to top management;
- Conducting site visits and preparing site visit reports (identifying risks, issues, and necessary measures).
