Job Description
Fraud Detection and Investigation:
• Identify and analyze all types of fraud, ensuring the detection of potential risks in a timely manner;
• Conduct the monitoring and in-depth analysis of customer transactions and gaming activity, identifying patterns indicative of potential money laundering or suspicious behavior. Utilize advanced tools and methods to detect anomalies and escalate high-risk cases for further investigation;
• Conduct the monitoring and validation of large player payouts, ensuring all turnover and compliance requirements are meet;
• Investigate and categorize fraudulent activities and users to mitigate risks and prevent financial losses;
• Conduct in-depth analyses of fraud incidents, providing recommendations for system or product enhancements to prevent recurrence;
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of fraud-related incidents, contributing to training programs for new employees and improving team awareness.
Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with key departments such as casino platform developers, B2B management, and support specialists to implement cohesive and effective risk management practices;
• Engage with the Casino Risk, Financial Risk Management, and Verification teams to ensure smooth workflows and effective risk mitigation;
• Collaborate with programmers to resolve critical issues promptly and develop quick solutions for urgent risk-related concerns.
Payout and Tournament Monitoring:
• Conduct the monitoring and validation of large player payouts, ensuring all turnover and compliance requirements are met;
• Supervise tournament activities to detect and investigate bonus abuse, fraud, or any suspicious activities that may compromise company integrity.
Knowledge Sharing and Team Development:
• Share insights, market knowledge, and risk management expertise to promote continuous learning and improvement within the team. Foster a culture of collaboration and shared expertise to enhance the risk management framework.

• Transaction Monitoring and Analysis: Conduct the monitoring and in-depth analysis of customer transactions and gaming activity, identifying patterns indicative of potential money laundering or suspicious behavior. Utilize advanced tools and methods to detect anomalies and escalate high-risk cases for further investigation;
• Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD): Oversee the performance of CDD and EDD for high-risk customers, ensuring all regulatory requirements for customer identification and verification are met. Ensure the thorough investigation and documentation of high-risk clients to maintain AML compliance;
• Suspicious Activity Reporting (SAR/STR): Prepare, submit, and follow up on Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) or Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to regulatory bodies in a timely and accurate manner. Ensure proper documentation of suspicious activities for internal records and regulatory reviews;
• Regulatory Compliance and Policy Development: Ensure full adherence to Romanian AML regulations and international standards, including FATF recommendations, to ensure continuous compliance. Take part in the development and regular updating of AML policies, procedures, and controls, ensuring they meet current regulatory requirements;
• Internal Audits and Reviews: Conduct regular internal audits and compliance reviews of AML-related procedures, policies, and controls to ensure their effectiveness in mitigating AML risks. Continuously evaluate internal processes and collaborate on improvements to optimize AML compliance;
• Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver training programs focused on AML compliance, equipping employees with the skills to detect, report, and manage suspicious activities. Foster a culture of AML awareness within the organization by providing ongoing training and updates;
• Risk Assessment and Reporting: Lead regular risk assessments to identify and address emerging AML risks and ensure the company’s risk management processes remain robust. Prepare detailed reports on AML compliance activities, including findings, risk assessments, and recommendations for improvement, for senior management;
• Regulatory Liaison and Compliance Tools: Serve as the primary point of contact with regulatory bodies and law enforcement agencies for all AML-related matters, ensuring effective communication and compliance. Assist in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of AML compliance tools and systems to ensure proactive risk management;
• Trend Analysis and Industry Research: Stay abreast of evolving trends and typologies in money laundering and terrorist financing, specifically within the gambling industry, to maintain a forward-thinking approach to AML risks. Conduct regular research to identify the most effective AML triggers and submit technical requests to enhance detection capabilities;
• Coordination of Sanctions and Personal Data Protection: Oversee the implementation and coordination of international sanctions requirements within the AML framework. Work closely with the Data Protection Officer (DPO) to ensure compliance with personal data protection legislation and internal processes related to AML compliance;
• Internal Communication and Reporting Channels: Ensure the effectiveness of the internal anonymous warning system for reporting AML irregularities, violations, and concerns. Foster an environment of transparency by ensuring that all AML issues are effectively communicated across the company.
