Job Description
The teams at Bytex build scalable and easy to maintain Web Services that are used by our clients for things like collecting and analyzing security parameters by Cyber Security Analysts or gaining access to their workspaces.
The scalability and maintainability of our services are based on business logic structured into multiple loosely coupled layers that together build our final product.
We follow the Agile development methodology, which implies having a close and constant collaboration with our clients’ representatives in order to properly handle each implementation detail and to assure the quality of the software we build.
Python
Node
Java
Golang
MongoDB
Postgresql
Flask
Spring
Bash
We are seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer with a heavy focus on modern UI engineering (70% UI / 30% Backend) to design and build next-generation web applications, high-density operational consoles, and self-service onboarding portals. In this role, you will leverage modern frontend frameworks, advanced state and data visualization paradigms, and AI-assisted engineering workflows to transform high-frequency machine metrics and edge-device telemetry into elegant, highly performant web applications.
Responsibilities
High-Performance Data Visualization & Dashboards: Architect and build real-time, responsive web applications leveraging modern UI frameworks to visualize complex time-series telemetry, machine performance indicators, and sensor streams using advanced charting tools (Canvas/WebGL, D3.js, ECharts, or Observable Plot);
Live Telemetry & Event Streaming: Implement resilient client-side streaming architectures using WebSockets and Server-Sent Events (SSE) to deliver sub-second telemetry updates, live factory alerts, and machine state transitions without UI thread contention;
Metadata-Driven Onboarding & Config Systems: Design dynamic, schema-driven form engines and onboarding workflows that automate the integration and configuration of new manufacturing lines and edge devices;
AI-Enhanced UI Capabilities: Integrate intelligent interfaces and AI-assisted workflows—such as natural-language query bars, automated summary widgets for anomaly detection, intelligent alert clustering, and smart runbook assistants—directly into operational dashboards;
Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) & Microservices (30%): Design and maintain high-efficiency API layers, microservices, and aggregation endpoints using Golang (or Node.js/Python), interfacing with RabbitMQ, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
Working schedule
EU flexible schedule (9-18 CET);
Weekly customer meetings between 17-20 CET.
Recruitment process
Short Bytex HR introductory discussion
1-2h Bytex technical discussion with one of our senior engineers
Customer call
Offer presentation
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
4–8+ years of professional software development experience with a heavy emphasis on modern frontend engineering.
Mastery of modern web technologies: Deep experience with modern UI frameworks and component architectures (e.g., React, Next.js, Vue, Svelte, or modern TypeScript/Vite toolchains), component-driven design systems, and advanced browser rendering optimization.
AI-assisted development & modern toolchains: Hands-on experience utilizing modern developer tooling, AI-assisted engineering workflows, code-generation pipelines, and integrating generative AI/LLM interfaces into web UIs.
Data visualization expertise: Proven experience rendering high-throughput, high-frequency datasets using visualization libraries (e.g., D3.js, ECharts, Chart.js, Canvas/WebGL).
Real-time communication & client-side state: Strong understanding of WebSockets, Server-Sent Events (SSE), reactive state management paradigms, and client-side data caching/streaming.
Backend engineering fundamentals (30%): Hands-on experience developing RESTful APIs or gRPC services using Golang, with solid fundamentals in concurrency and API design.
Database & Messaging awareness: Familiarity with relational data stores (PostgreSQL), message brokers (RabbitMQ), and analytical data platforms (Snowflake).
Experience with containerization (Docker) and deployment to Kubernetes environments.
Experience building telemetry dashboards, industrial IoT consoles, or mission-critical monitoring tools.
Familiarity with edge computing paradigms, local buffering, and handling distributed system state in web UIs.
Experience with micro-frontend architectures, design token systems, and web accessibility standards (WCAG).
Strong product and design sensibility with a focus on developer and operator experience.
We are an East European software development and consulting company that can help your business grow by providing high-quality services.
