The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria and will have the below job description:

• Analyse, verify and post transactions to journals, ledgers and other records;
• Performs month-end and year end closing operations in accordance with the statutory reporting requirements and regional/global policies;
• Manages accruals and prepayments;
• Re-conciliates between the local statutory accounting system and the reporting system;
• Review the annual statutory financial statements and the half yearly accounting reports;
• Review the monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns for VAT and corporate tax as applicable;
• Submits any required reports of business financial operations to the management of the company;
• Ensuring strict confidentiality at all times;

The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

• College level accounting classes or Accounting Degree (Economics, Accounting or related fields);
• Very good level of English;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience;
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office;
• Ability to organize work flow and use time efficiently;
• Ability to show strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong organisational/self-management skills, ability to cope with pressure and meet deadlines.
