For our client, a leading global retail and e-Commerce group, we are recruiting an SAP Transportation Management Consultant to join their digital team in Bucharest. In this role, you will own the SAP Transportation Management (TM) solution portfolio and integrations, driving the strategic adoption of SAP Best Practices with a clean-core mindset to minimize custom footprints and ensure operational excellence.

Candidate Profile

• 5+ years of SAP consulting experience with substantial S/4HANA exposure, deep SAP TM expertise, and strong end-to-end logistics process knowledge;

• Functional and technical knowledge of SAP TM and Advanced Customs by dbh, particularly across inbound and customs clearance processes;

• Proven track record of leading SAP implementations and rollouts as a design authority or template owner;

• Comfortable with BTP integration scenarios (CPI/EDI) and working in a structured, API-first way;

• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills with business-fluent English;

• Methodical, structured working style with a pronounced entrepreneurial and customer-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing customs and sea inbound processes in SAP Transportation Management (TM), dbh Advanced Customs, and central integrations;

• Defining the TM module strategy and guardrails with a clean-core mindset, making informed scope, fit/gap, and standard versus extension decisions;

• Leading fit-to-standard implementations and rollouts end to end, keeping release/test management, data migration, training, and hypercare under control;

• Maintaining stable cloud operations by managing incidents, problems, and changes, tracking readiness KPIs, and meeting quality gates;

• Governing integrations with SD/MM, Finance, carriers, and 3PLs API-first (CPI/EDI) to consistently reduce point-to-point interfaces;

• Driving process harmonization across business areas, from planning and execution through freight orders and carrier selection to charges management and billing;

• Acting as a tech-competent and process-affine partner for the business unit, analyzing requirements and accompanying system restructuring processes;

• Designing new processes together with business units within interdisciplinary, agile teams ("Digital Domains").
