We are looking for a Mathematics teacher who loves teaching, cares about children, and can teach up to IGCSE Mathematics. If you can also teach A Level Mathematics, even better. You will teach in the afternoons, from 16:00, at Pebble House. The role is freelance to start with.

About Pebble House

Pebble House is the study house of IWS Online School, a British international school for students aged 7 to 19. Our students follow a British education with IWS and come to Pebble House to study, get support and spend time with friends.

You will find us on the second floor of David Business Center, Strada Erou Iancu Nicolae 29, Pipera, Voluntari, opposite the British School of Bucharest.

What you will do

• Teach Mathematics to small groups and individual students, from Lower Secondary up to IGCSE, and A Level for the right candidate.

• Get to know each student, plan from where they are, and help them make steady progress.

• Give clear, encouraging feedback, so students know what they do well and what to work on next.

• Keep parents informed and build trusting relationships with families.

• Work with IWS teachers and mentors, so each student's support is joined up.

• Help promote Pebble House to families in the local community, for example at open days and trial lessons.

Who we are looking for

• Fluent spoken and written English. All lessons are taught in English.

• A degree in Mathematics or a related subject. A teaching qualification is an advantage.

• Experience teaching IGCSE Mathematics, or another British curriculum.

• Experience teaching A Level Mathematics is a strong advantage.

• An excellent communicator. Romanian is an advantage.

• Someone who genuinely cares about children and builds warm, professional relationships with students and parents.

• Reliable and available on weekday afternoons from 16:00.

Pay

80 to 100 RON per hour, depending on experience. This is a freelance fee: you invoice us monthly and handle your own tax. Hours are agreed at interview.

Safeguarding

IWS is committed to keeping children safe. The successful candidate will need a clear criminal record certificate, two satisfactory references and the right to work in Romania.
