Job Description

For our client, a leading multinational company in the automotive industry, we are recruiting a Legal, Compliance & Data Protection Specialist.

Candidate Profile:
  • Education: University degree in Law or a related field (Human Resources, Administrative Sciences, Psychology, Sociology, or Social Work).
  • Experience: Several years of professional experience in Legal, Compliance, and/or Data Protection roles. Experience as a GDPR Coordinator is highly valued.
  • Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of GDPR, data protection regulations, labor law, and compliance frameworks.
  • Certifications (Advantage): Formal certifications or training in data protection, compliance, labor law, internal investigations, or ethics are highly desirable.
  • Languages: Fluent English (written and spoken); German language skills represent an advantage.
  • Soft Skills: High level of integrity, independence, discretion, excellent communication, problem-solving mindset, and strong stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Advisory & GDPR Coordination: Advising senior management and employees on legal, compliance, and GDPR obligations while acting as GDPR Coordinator and managing data subject requests.
  • Policies & Procedures: Drafting, implementing, and maintaining internal policies for data protection, workplace conduct, and local integration of global guidelines in alignment with Group Corporate Legal.
  • Incident Management & Investigations: Managing personal data breaches, notifying relevant authorities, and investigating workplace misconduct/harassment in line with legal and ethical standards.
  • Contracts & Audits: Supporting the Corporate Legal Department in contract management and organizing/performing internal and external compliance audits.
  • Risk Mitigation & Training: Identifying and mitigating legal, compliance, and reputational risks (e.g., conflicts of interest) while providing training programs to promote an ethical culture.
  • Direct Reporting: Reporting directly to the General Manager on legal, compliance, and data protection matters.
