Junior Landscape Designer
Full-time | 100% remote | Based in Romania
Riviera Gardens is a landscape design studio based on the Côte d‘Azur, specialising in high-end private residential projects.
We care deeply about beauty, harmony, nature and design, while placing equal importance on precision, accountability and the quality of the work we deliver.
We are looking for a Junior Landscape Designer to join our growing team on a full-time, remote basis.
Recent graduates are welcome to apply. Previous professional experience is not required.
The role
This is primarily a design production and back-office support role, rather than a purely creative position.
You will help transform design directions, sketches and mark-ups into clear, accurate and visually refined project documents.
You will report directly to Roberta, our Project Coordinator, who will coordinate your day-to-day work, assign tasks, provide training, review your work and give you regular feedback.
Ongoing training will be provided as you become familiar with Riviera Gardens‘ standards and working
methods.
Main responsibilities
• Preparing and updating 2D landscape plans in AutoCAD based on sketches, mark-ups and instructions
• Implementing revisions and mark-ups accurately
• Preparing technical drawings and project documents based on established design directions
• Preparing rendered plans, visual simulations and graphic material in Photoshop
• Building and editing 3D models in SketchUp or another 3D modelling program
• Preparing and refining project presentations and graphic documents
• Supporting the production of project documentation throughout the design process
• Working with the Project Coordinator to meet agreed deadlines and quality standards
• Providing general design production and back-office support for ongoing projects
Essential qualifications
• Bachelor‘s or Master‘s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Design or Architecture
• Solid intermediate level in AutoCAD 2D
• Solid intermediate level in Adobe Photoshop
• Basic working knowledge of SketchUp or another 3D modelling program
• English: minimum B2 level
• Ability to work full-time and remotely from Romania
Required software skills
AutoCAD 2D: solid intermediate level
You should already be able to work independently on a clean and accurately organised 2D drawing, including layer management, polylines, hatches, blocks, object snaps, dimensions, text, standard editing commands, drawing clean-up, importing information from existing drawings and exporting or plotting to PDF at a defined scale.
Adobe Photoshop: solid intermediate level
You should already be able to work independently with layered Photoshop documents, including layer management, selection tools, crop, resize, transform, basic image compositing and retouching, removal or replacement of elements, simple graphic elements, opacity, colour and tonal adjustments and exporting in the appropriate format and resolution.
SketchUp or another 3D modelling program: basic working level
You should be able to create and edit simple forms, navigate an existing model, select, move, rotate and scale objects, use groups and components, apply basic materials and use model libraries.
Training will be provided on Riviera Gardens‘ workflows, standards and project methods. However, candidates are expected to already have a solid working command of AutoCAD and Photoshop.

Useful, but not required
• French
• Adobe InDesign
• Previous experience in a landscape architecture or architecture studio
Portfolio
A CV and portfolio are mandatory.
Your portfolio should demonstrate both your visual sensitivity and technical abilities. We are particularly interested in landscape, interior design or architecture projects, plans and technical drawings, graphic presentations, Photoshop work and, where available, 3D work.
Academic projects are absolutely welcome.
Technical drawings are just as important to us as beautiful images.
AI-generated images are accepted, but should represent no more than 20% of the portfolio.
We want the portfolio to primarily demonstrate your own design, graphic and technical abilities.
For professional projects created within another studio or company, please indicate your individual role and contribution.
