We are looking for Junior Engineering Business Operations Analyst to become part of the Airbus Defence and Space Romania team.

Areas of impact: Junior Engineering Business Operations Analyst

Responsibilities:

Executive Business Support

  • Act as the primary operational partner to the Head of Engineering.
  • Prepare executive reports, dashboards, presentations, and business summaries.
  • Consolidate information from Engineering department managers into leadership updates.
  • Track strategic actions, decisions, and operational commitments.
  • Support leadership meetings through agendas, reports, and action tracking.

Financial Planning and Governance

  • Monitor Engineering actual expenditure against approved forecasts and budgets.
  • Support Head of Engineering on variance analysis and highlight financial risks and opportunities.
  • Support for Finance during forecasting, invoicing, month-end close, and budget reviews.
  • Collaborate across Engineering departments to maintain accurate budget tracking.

Contract Coordination

  • Coordinate Purchase Orders across Engineering department.
  • Track contract status and purchasing activities.
  • Collaborate with Finance to resolve operational issues.
  • Maintain visibility of contractual commitments and financial timelines.

Resource Planning and Allocation

  • Maintain visibility of resource allocation and activity reports across Engineering departments.
  • Work with Engineering department leads to update and validate allocation data and monitor utilization.
  • Work with Head of Engineering and Engineering department managers to identify capacity constraints and resource risks.

Operational Governance

  • Ensure activity reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Follow up with Engineering department managers on actions and deliverables.
  • Maintain governance trackers and ensure operational data accuracy.

Reporting and Analytics

  • Develop dashboards using Excel, Google Sheets, and Power BI.
  • Produce executive reports and management dashboards.
  • Analyze operational, financial, and resource data.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements.

Risk Management

  • Support for Head of Engineering to maintain visibility of operational, financial, and delivery risks.
  • Track mitigation actions and escalate issues when required.
