Ideal Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
Proven experience in engineering, manufacturing, cost engineering, or technical cost analysis role.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, especially CNC machining; knowledge of additional processes such as assembly, surface treatment, sheet metal, welding, or composites is a plus.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and engineering documentation.
Ability to work with CAD data or CAD viewers; experience with CATIA is an advantage.
Strong ability to understand and explain design, manufacturing, and costing details, while also seeing the broader business impact.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Basic understanding of BI tools and willingness to learn new digital tools quickly.
Experience with ERP systems is desirable; training can be provided.
Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills.
Structured, proactive, and detail-oriented working style, even under time pressure.
Curious and investigative mindset, with the ability to challenge assumptions and seek clarity before drawing conclusions.
Excellent written, verbal, and technical presentation skills.
Ability to communicate effectively in English.
Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.

Job Description

Identify and evaluate cost reduction opportunities through technical analysis of products, materials, processes, and manufacturing methods.
Conduct technical assessments to review material and process requirements, identifying alternatives that improve cost without compromising quality, performance, or compliance.
Prepare and maintain cost breakdown analyses, including material, machining/process time, labor, tooling, and other relevant cost drivers.
Support cost-saving and margin improvement initiatives, including business case preparation, impact analysis, and follow-up of implemented actions.
Analyze non-moving or slow-moving raw material stock and propose technical solutions for its utilization in current or future production, helping to avoid unnecessary new material purchases.
Support inventory reduction by identifying opportunities to balance and optimize raw material usage across products and projects where technically feasible.
Work closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Planning, and other stakeholders to validate assumptions, collect missing information, and drive cost improvement actions.
Evaluate the cost impact of design changes, material substitutions, process changes, and manufacturing alternatives.
Present findings and recommendations in a clear, structured, and data-driven way to support decision-making.
