About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company operating in the construction and infrastructure sector. The organization delivers complex projects nationwide and is currently expanding its Health, Safety & Environment team to support ongoing site activities across the country.

Job Description

Location:
The candidate may be based anywhere in the country, as the activity is carried out 100% on construction sites nationwide. However, a location in the southern part of the country is preferred, as it allows more frequent travel home

Job Responsibilities:
Identify and assess risks associated with each component of the work system, including the worker, work tasks, equipment used, and the working environment specific to each position;
Collaborate with site managers to prepare the annual requirements for personal protective equipment (PPE), hygiene and sanitation materials, and occupational safety materials;
Develop specific instructions for implementing occupational health and safety regulations, adapted to the organization’s activities and the specifics of each workplace;
Develop customized occupational health and safety plans for temporary and mobile construction sites;
Periodically update occupational safety dashboards and monitor safety and health indicators for all work locations within the area of responsibility;
Ensure implementation and compliance with occupational health and safety processes at all organizational levels;
Analyze site visit reports prepared by local management, centralize identified non-conformities, prepare monthly reports, and submit them to direct supervisors and regional management.

Specific Responsibilities:
Assess risks for vulnerable employee categories in collaboration with the occupational health physician and submit reports to the Territorial Labour Inspectorate and Public Health Directorate;
Organize general introductory training sessions in occupational health & safety and emergency situations for employees, subcontractors, and temporary staff, verifying knowledge retention;
Identify and establish PPE requirements for job positions in accordance with Government Decision HG 1048/2006;
Conduct collective training sessions for personnel of partner companies performing work activities;
Prepare documentation regulating the use of open flames and smoking activities;
Establish fire prevention measures during periods of high temperatures and drought;
Notify competent authorities regarding any fire occurring at the workplace and prepare intervention reports;
Periodically evaluate fire prevention and firefighting capacity, identifying causes, contributing factors, and necessary corrective measures;
Maintain effective collaboration with authorities, labour inspectors, and Emergency Situations Inspectorate representatives, providing requested documentation in compliance with applicable regulations;
Periodically verify the existence and functionality of firefighting equipment and emergency technical systems across all sites, ensuring legal compliance;
Implement and monitor compliance with ATEX-specific regulations;
Organize operational staff training regarding intervention procedures according to protocols established with county emergency inspectorates;
Maintain data security and ensure confidentiality of company information in external relations;
Participate in continuous training and professional development to meet job requirements at the highest standards.

Job Requirements:
Occupational Health & Safety Inspector certification (minimum 80-hour course);
Relevant experience in HSE/OHS, preferably within the construction industry;
Construction site experience (minimum 2 years);
Category B driving license (mandatory);
Advanced English language skills;
Ability to adapt general occupational safety regulations to construction site activities;
Solid knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and ability to interact with all management and employee levels;
Advanced communication and mediation skills;
Technical higher education degree (optional);
Risk assessor certification (optional);
Fire Safety Technical Officer / Civil Protection Inspector certification (optional);
Curiosity and willingness to stay up to date with the latest industry trends
