Job Qualifications**
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing) or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
* Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering or work preparation within the aerospace industry, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership or management role.
* Proven expertise in manufacturing processes for aerostructures, including composite fabrication, metallic assembly, machining, and surface treatment.
* Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and continuous improvement tools.
* Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP).
* Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
* Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Fluency in English is required;

Job Description
The Head of Work Preparation at Airbus Aerostructures S.R.L. will lead and manage all activities related to planning, scheduling, and preparing manufacturing processes for aerostructure components. This role ensures optimal efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery by developing and implementing robust work preparation strategies and fostering continuous improvement.
Job Responsibilities**
* Lead and manage the Work Preparation department, including personnel development, performance management, and resource allocation.
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve work preparation processes, procedures, and tools to optimize manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
* Oversee the creation and maintenance of detailed manufacturing work instructions, process sheets, and bills of material (BOMs).
* Collaborate closely with engineering, production, supply chain, and quality departments to ensure seamless integration of work preparation activities.
* Identify and implement opportunities for process automation, digitization, and lean manufacturing principles within work preparation.
* Manage and prioritize work preparation tasks to meet production schedules and project deadlines.
* Analyze manufacturing data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
* Lead initiatives for cost reduction and waste elimination within the work preparation function.
* Prepare and present reports on work preparation performance, challenges, and strategic initiatives to senior management.
